- Exploring Multidimensional Thinking in a Community of Philosophical Inquiry for AI Ethics Education
Full paper
Yeji Ko, Hyo-Jeong So
- How Teachers Learn by Designing AI-Ethics Scenarios Using an LLM-Supported Authoring Tool
Short paper
Jeanhee Lee, Sieun Park, Yue Wang, Kyuwon Kim, Yeji Ko, Hyo-Jeong So
Two papers from the IDL Lab have been accepted for presentation at the International Conference of the Learning Sciences (ICLS 2026), which will be held in Irvine, California, USA, from June 15–19, 2026.
Ko and So (2026) designed a community of philosophical inquiry (CPI) using a tabletop role-playing game (TRPG) for AI ethics learning and analyzed the patterns of multidimensional thinking emerging from participants' dialogues. The study identified key patterns of creative and caring thinking supporting critical reasoning in AI ethics inquiry, and highlighted the practical potential of TRPG-based CPI as an effective environment for AI ethics education.
Lee et al. (2026) explores teachers’ prompting patterns and learning experiences while designing AI ethics dilemma scenarios through a Learning by Design activity supported by an LLM-based authoring tool and examines how interactions with generative AI influence teachers’ understanding of AI ethics and instructional design capacities.
